This club will end this term and be replaced by the ICT Support club, which will be a combination of drop in and invitation lessons to help students who are behind and/or struggling with ICT.
Animation Club: This focused on traditional and modern techniques of animation, such as: flipbooks, clay animation, digital drawings; as well as watching short animated films which are historically important for the genre. The club was discontinued because the members wanted to try other activities in the same time slots as the animation club.
Robotics Club: Four Lego Mindstorms and 4 EV4 Robots which are used in the club.
The Robotics Club has run continuously for the length of the term. The students have been very supportive and enthusiastic about hand-on working with the Lego NXT Mindstorms 2.0 and the Mindstorms Evolution 3 Sets have also been put to good use. We are constantly building, programming and documenting robots.
The Maker Club: is run by a small group of 12th graders who meet most Wednesdays to experiment with "making". The are considering building a personal 3D printer as their next challenge.

Orders
-The book and equipment orders for 2014 are complete although a few books and DVDs remain pending.
-The LRC is implementing new collections of e-books along with the new Follett system. Some like the current Tumble Books subscription are from Follett, while others are from EBSCO.
-4 new iPad minis were ordered to complete the class set and bring the total to 24.
-12 new iMacs were ordered for the ICT lab to complete the set. The older iMacs were moved to the main LRC area and 12 of the oldest donated to Secondary Art and the Primary School.

Construction and Changes
-The new ICT Recording Studio Lab has proven to be a vast improvement and has help teachers to improve delivery, vary methodology and engage students throughout lessons in one self contained area. The area is well suited for multimedia work, and is fairly sound proof. Students and teachers are now able to leave equipment out and ready for each lesson as well as store props lighting kits and sound equipment on the shelves. There were some issue with groups wanting to use this area for meetings. This has been dealt with and the space identified as a teaching space only.

-A small part of the fiction section will be closed off and adapted for exam and other storage for Secondary. Construction on this area will begin during the Christmas holidays. English book storage will be removed and the Fiction collections shifted to include that area.
